ERP selection with Mike Ralph at Saint Vincent College

It is good to be talking about ERP selection again.

On Wednesday, October 28, 2026, Ledoweb’s Don Kendall will join Michael Ralph of Michael P. Ralph Consulting at Saint Vincent College for a classroom discussion with Professor Bob Markley’s students. The topic is choosing business systems for small and midsize companies, from accounting extensions to broader ERP platforms.

Choosing a system around the work

The discussion will start with how a business operates: the orders it takes, the work it delivers, the information people need and the decisions they have to explain.

Mike will cover the broader ERP landscape. Don will contribute the Odoo perspective, including Community and Enterprise editions, configuration choices, community modules and the responsibilities that come with extending and maintaining a system.

We will also touch on AI and automation: where they might help with the work, what people still need to review and how to judge the quality of the result.
